Jaret attended UBC where he earned Bachelor of Science (Psychology) and Bachelor of Commerce (Finance) degrees, as well as a Master of Social Work. He joined IG Wealth Management in 2015 and in 2021 he received his CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER^® designation—a top-ranking accreditation for financial planners in North America. He has since expanded his team to seven members.

He has always had a passion for planning in both personal and business finances. He is married with two adult children (one who is a resident doctor and the other who is also in the financial industry). Jaret was a health care and social services manager for 13 years, including six years in rural Northern British Columbia where he focused on hospital administration, four years in the management of a drug facility in Vancouver, and three years managing group homes for those in the community living with developmental disabilities. His experience in the medical/health industry has provided him with deep knowledge of the Canadian healthcare system.

Jaret’s professional and academic background has given him the ability to simplify complex financial scenarios and problems in both written and spoken language that is educational and informative. His planning strategies are centralized around meeting clients' financial goals and needs through communication, analysis, and adaptability.

Within the community, Jaret has served on the board of Operation Track shoes, a sports festival for people with developmental disabilities.
